Sun City Resort
The extraordinary Sun City Resort is internationally recognized as the ultimate African resort experience. The resort has long been known for hosting the annual Million Dollar Golf Challenge, and more recently for the spectacular lavishness of the newest of its hotels, The Palace of the Lost City. The exoticism of the resort is highlighted by being entirely surrounded by the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, and a visit to this park is a must when visiting. The resort also offers numerous water sports, gambling, golfing, live entertainment, shopping, and much more! |
Accommodation
There are three hotels that Wildspace recommends at Sun City, each offering superior and unique accommodation, ranging from the opulence of the Palace of the Lost City to the luxury of the Cascades Hotel to the comfortable Sun City Hotel.
The Palace of the Lost City is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, and its design and theme are based on the legend of a lost African civilization. Surrounding the hotel is a 25-hectare botanical jungle. The jungle is threaded with meandering paths, cascades, lakes and pools.
Lush gardens, tropical birds and water features give The Cascades its sophistication and elegance. Somewhat less extravagant than The Palace, the Cascades has a total of 243 very comfortable rooms, each commanding a view over a magnificent landscape of subtropical gardens and the sparkling swimming pool.
Overlooking the internationally acclaimed Gary Player Golf Course, the Sun City Hotel is home to the Sun City Casino. The ambience of the hotel is one of glamorous sophistication tastefully combined with magical fantasy. |
